Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

How about having your favourite food everyday, every meal?
Or wait, what if it rains food, every time you want to eat?

As kids, many of us have some crazy ideas and wishes like these.

But Flint Lockwood wasn't an ordinary kid. He was an aspiring scientist, who always wanted to make something great.

He did invent some cool stuff like spray on shoes, a flying car , rat birds and a remote controlled television, but most of these plans were a failure.

Then came to him an idea, of making a machine that could take water and produce food.

"Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator" (FLDSMDFR for short) as he calls it, sets his island Swallow Falls , onto an eating spree, with all kinds of food from burgers, to hot dogs, to spaghetti and ice-cream falling from the sky.

As the burden on the machine increases, so does the excitement to see what next.

This, computer animated, techno , sci-fi film, is one of those animations, you must watch. Though released 4 years back, it still holds your attention and excites the adrenaline in your blood.

The amazing soundtrack only adds icing to the cake.

So go, grab some popcorn and tune into this film, and have some fun , this winter holiday.

Now, That's smart!

There are so many of us who do not like a particular vegetable or dish. And now, it is a trend among the younger generation to be judgmental about dishes even before they are tasted!

But, mommies know best, how to handle this lot!!!

It's very smart of them to hide the vegetables under cheese and sauce and present it like junk food, and the kids gobble down, every piece of vegetable from capsicum, to corn, to tomatoes, that are in them.

These are some scrumptious canapés that my mum made for us this eve. And indeed, my brother ate every bit of veges in them!

Imagination,Creativity and Life

Once in class, a girl sat quietly, painting in her art book. The teacher walked up to her and asked," What is it that you're painting ?", "I'm painting a picture of God", said the girl , proudly. "But no one has seen God!",exclaimed the teacher. "They will, in a minute.",replied the girl.

Imagination is the reason, why humans are superior to animals. Imagination, is the driving force that leads to creativity, into inventions, discoveries, and development of mankind.

It begins from school, where we all are drilled to study. Study the syllabus, well enough to produce book-like answers, when we take an examination. The Indian Education System, is such that, answers that resemble the ones in the referred books, are declared correct, whereas those that are written out of the book from creativity, may be valid, yet incorrect. Imagination and creativity must be given the same importance as education. It is important for a student to imagine to grow intellectually. The Global Education system, measures intelligence by marks and grades, which is highly incorrect. Byhearting lessons for the sake of grades is not only foolishness, but also a waste of time and talent. A student may do well at school and college, but might end up having an unsuccessful career due to social inabilities and necessities for life.
The Education system is such that , everyone is evaluated based on one subject, even though their individual capabilities may be different.

Like the great scientist, Albert Einstein once said,
" Everybody is  a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life, believing that it is stupid."

In life, each person has a different question paper.Everybody is evaluated differently. Colleges and Universities are the stepping stone to future. It is here that students, must not only compete academically, but also prepare themselves to face the obstacles that life throws towards them.

Creativity is a gift,a quality, a habit that leads one into the future.

Develop it.   Use it.   Be it.
